The Untold
Canada 2002. Director: Jonas Quastel
Cast: Lance Henriksen, Andrea Roth, Russell Ferrier, Jeremy Radick
Aka: Sasquatch

Lance Henriksen and company goes into the Pacific Northwest forest to search for a crashed plane which contained Henriksen's daughter, hoping to find her alive. They find nothing except a bunch of video tapes and a big angry monster. A perfectly fair enough little adventure story completely ruined in post-production by an overly enthusiastic editor, drenching the film in blurry slo-mo effects and fade-outs. As for the monster... well, they can call it Bigfoot, Sasquatch or whatever, under any name it's still a guy in a cheap gorilla suit. There's a handful of effective scenes, however, like when Andrea Roth (who's in the film only to provide the skin) is being snatched by Bigfoot while inside of her tent and dragged away into the woods. For most of its running time, though, The Untold is a mess and a dud, but just about watchable as long as you don't spend any money searching for it.
