Patrick
Still Lives Poor Patrick (Gianni Dei) is standing by the side of the road having a problem with his car. He tries to get help but instead he gets a bottle in the head thrown by someone driving by, leaving him in a coma at the hospital. Then Patrick's nutty father, Doctor Hershell, discovers that his son also has the ability to create telekintetic powers while wired to the minds of criminals. So Hershell gets an idea. He tracks down all the suspected people who may or may not be guilty of putting Patrick in this condition, in order to seek revenge. All these people are then invited to his large villa for a "pleasant holliday" and subsequently killed one by one by invisible powers maneuvered by the comatose Patrick. One guy is hanged on a meat-hook in the yard, another one is boiled in the swimming pool. Carmen Russo is decapitated by a car-window and Mariangela Giordano is chased around in her nightie and impaled by a poker up her youknowwhat. Meanwhile Hershell's hot secretary Miss Grant is seduced by Patrick and forced into kinky strip-acts before the two fall in love. Honestly, everything here is so tacky and retarded it's hard to not like it. It has almost no production value whatsoever, the direction is shitty and the acting stinks even worse. It's just a demented series of lurid and supersleazy splatter scenes tied together by a shabby Berto Pisano synthesizer score and it doesn't pretend to be anything else than that either. Piero Regnoli is the credited screenwriter but I don't know about that, he may be, but it feels as if they just went ahead and shot whatever wacky stuff they could think of. Hey now, let's poke a nude girl with a sharp stick. I enjoyed it. It may not have anything to do with Richard Franklin's original Patrick but I did enjoy it. Sort of.
