Murder
In
Venice
Italy 1979. Director: Mario Landi
Cast: Mariangela Giordano, Gianni Dei, Vassili Karis, Jeff Blynn
Aka: Giallo a Venezia

A series of brutal killings are comitted
by a psycho killer who fills most of the plot with ruthlessly senseless
and disturbing violence against naked women. At one point, a so called
"highlight", the psycho ties a naked Mariangela Giordano
(previously in Malabimba)
onto a kitchen table, saws off her limbs with a smile on his face
and puts her in the refrigerator with hilarious results for the maid
next morning. Meanwhile the police inspector is loading raw eggs down
his throat. Fans of Lucio Fulci's New York Ripper, take note.
The old dude got some great ideas from this film. Like the broken
bottle (here a scissor) up a girl's lower abdomen. And let's not forget
the nice sub-plot about Fabio who can only function sexually if his
wife is brutally humiliated by a third part. Director Mario Landi
used to direct teleplay adaptions of Inspector Maigret-novels but
here he let's his perverted imagination lose. Cool stuff for sure.
If you're a psychopath!
