Mimic 3: Sentinel
USA
2003. Director: J.T Petty
Cast: Karl Geary, Amanda Plummer, Alexis Dziena, Lance Henriksen

This
third installment surprises with a ballsy different approach which makes
it at least more interesting than the crappy number two. It takes place
almost entirely in some guy's shabby Brooklyn apartment, think Rear
Window but with a giant cockroach instead of Raymund Burr. The guy
in this apartment spends most of his time taking pictures of his neighbours
(including naughty ones of Rebecca Mader). One day he sees a monster
lurking in the alley, the same monster he once saw when he was a child
he thinks and so he calls the cops. I wanted to like this movie but
couldn't. It's so dragging almost to the point of annoying that it's
hard trying to stay off the fast-forward button even though the always
watchable Lance Henriksen turns up as a mad scientist disguised as a
garbageman.
