Killing Car
France 1993. Director: Jean Rollin
Cast: Tiki Tsang, Fréderique Hayman, Jean-Lou Philippe
Aka: La Femme Dangereuse

Killing Car plays like a compilation of great Jean Rollin moments interpreted by actress Tiki Tsang. She plays an exotic hottie who goes Charles Bronson upon various people, both men and women. She shoots them, stabs them and kills them with a scythe (Fascination style) and on every dead body she leaves a little toy-car. She then reunites with a guy with bandages all over his head, tells him the job is done, then kills him too. The film is more a series of set-pieces, killings, than an actual movie, but there's plenty of characteristic Rollin scenes, such as frequent shots of Tiki sitting alone on a boat in a pink dress looking mysterious. And the ending long-shot seem straight out of Night of the Hunted. If one have seen a couple of Rollin movies the imagery of Killing Car will cause a slight feeling of deja-vu but it's nothing that distracts from the atmosphere which is almost as strong as ever. The director can do much better but for a movie shot in 10 days on 16mm it's quite okey.
