Professor Ash is spending his days trying to disproof the existence of all things supernatural, thus one day ending up
at the country residence of two brothers and a sister. An
old-fashioned ghost movie and period piece, re-packed,
re-released and re-hyped for reason obscure. Unfortunately former Bond-director Gilbert has no feel for the genre as the atmosphere is absolutely zip. What do work, however, is the drama and the romantic interplay between Beckinsale and Quinn (both great), but since you don't rent a ghost movie
for that I guess I'm saying it's a disappointment.
