The Forgotten
USA 2004. Director: Joseph Ruben
Cast: Julianne Moore, Dominic West, Gary Sinise, Anthony Edwards

One year after her son has died in a plane crash Julianne Moore is told by her shrink that all that she remembers hasn't happened. She's just imagining things. She has never had any son at all and there wasn't any plane crash. Why are they saying this? Is she going crazy? Convinced that her memory is correct and that it is everyone else who have forgotten, Julianne sets out to find the truth about her son and what really happened to him. This well-produced thriller gets slightly off track towards the second half, but it's still a return to form for the director of The Stepfather and Sleeping With the Enemy with two exemplary fine emotional performances by Julianne Moore and Dominic West.
