Creepozoids - The Inzomniac's Movie Madness Review.

In the year of 1988, after another nuclear holocaust, a couple of unlikely soldiers takes refugee from the acid rain in some underground warehouse which is also a laboratory of evil. The group tries to communicate with the world outside via a computer but, nope, nothing's there and soon they're all attacked by monsters.

This turkey of a movie marked Linnea Quigley's return to movies after a year or so in absence (hey, about this time these girls normally made at least a handful of movies a year), and when it was released onto video its shining cool poster was everywhere. "Shrink in fear as bodies melt from hell! Recoil in horror at the sight of the creepozoids!" Surely it must be good. Or at least fun. Or at least it must have some nudity and a couple of cool monsters in it. Well, one-man factory David DeCoteau (who at this time aspired for the Roger Corman inheritance, having worked on Galaxy of Terror and Forbidden World for Corman) at least never disappoints in those departments. There's always room for a girl in a shower or a giant rat. None of it ultimately doesn't hide the fact that Creepozoids is fucking terrible, though. It looks like it's been shot entirely in someone's garage and the monster baby at the end looks like something not even Larry Cohen would accept. Good things include lots of slime and drool, some imaginative other monsters and some painfully stilted acting (which we like, though). And yes, Kim McKamy is better known as the porn actress Ashlyn Gere.
