Tender
and Perverse Emanuelle
France 1973. Director:
Jess Franco
Cast: Lina Romay, Alice Arno, Jack Taylor
Aka:
French Emanuelle

Lina Romay is investigating the death of
her sister, who has been thrown off a cliff, which leads her to a
confrontation with the usual collection of sleazy Franco characters.
It has to be said, there is nothing in this film that is better than
UK's Redemption video cover. Other than that, the film is a pretty
routine Franco effort. A little better looking than some of his most
horrid efforts perhaps, with slightly better developed characters
and a becoming sad atmosphere in some of the many flashbacks. Lina
Romay also has some great sunglasses. But, as usual, not up to anything
from Franco's '60s catalogue. I could probably write much more about
it, but I don't feel like it.
