Erotic Nights of the Living Dead

Well oh damn, a softporno version of Lucio Fulci's Zombi 2. It has zombies and an island alright and it has George Eastman and Laura Gemser and hell, that's all we need anyway. Moustacheman Mark Shanon buys an island and hires Eastman to take him there by boat. On the island they are met by Gemser who warns them, telling them to go away. The island is haunted by the dead. Then, of course, the odd zombies (no particular make-up, just a coat and a hood) rises again and chases big George and company around the island. But George is more interested in having sex with all the beautiful women he can find. The film will, as expected, appeal to fans of Joe D'Amato's softcore films rather than satisfiy horror fans. That doesn't mean it is without merit. It has some good atmosphere and it's nicely shot by D'Amato. But mainly it's just a bunch of burning zombies and sex-scenes thrown together and the sex-scenes work best in the end. All in all, fun on a zero budget.
