Convent of Sinners
Italy 1986. Director: Dario Donati (Joe D'Amato)
Cast: Eva Grimaldi, Karin Well, Jessica Moore, Gabriele Tinti
Aka: La Monaca del Peccato

Based, according to the credits anyway, upon Diderot's novel "La Religeuse", which should set this film sometime around 1740-50. A young girl, Suzanne (played by future sex icon Eva Grimaldi), is raped by her own father and sent to a convent for her sins, where she falls in love with a priest. The other nuns, however, are jealous and angry, they want Suzanne for themselves, and therefore they accuse her of being possessed by the Devil.

I thought this late nunsploitation was better than the more acclaimed (by fanatics) Images in a Convent by the same director (this day credited as "Dario Donati"). It has a more attractive cast and the gestures are more unobtrusive with minimalistic organ music and some great surreal sex scenes to meat out the plot. A nun is wipping herself while masturbating in front of a statue of a naked man. Definitely not bad.
