Blade Violent Laura Gemser shines like a black diamond as Emanuelle who's framed for drugs and sent to prison. Only the action really gets rolling when four male death-sentenced hardcons are brought to the prison. These hardcons are lead by "Crazy Boy" Henderson and they soon take over the prison, holding the inmates as well as the guards (what's left of them) as hostage. Rape and destroy becomes the motto of their day while the prison is surrounded by the cops and the military. The film was sponsored by some French silk-stocking company, so all inmates are wearing ugly silk-stockings at all time. Otherwise, it's all ragged and dirty as expected, with an often nasty mix of sex, violence and unintended over-the-top comedy. Only really a slightly tired Laura Gemser goes through the film with some kind of dignity intact, she keeps her clothes on for the whole film. But then she doesn't seem to be the main attraction this time. The real star is Gabriele Tinti who goes nutzoid as Crazy Boy, waving with his shotgun and rolling his stark raving mad eyes. Everyone who thought Tinti was a boring actor need to watch this film. Finally, the inmate who has an inflatable sex-doll in her bed, Maria Romano, also turned up in Thor the Conqueror and, some fifteen years later, in some big TV-series I've forgotten the name of. But it's nice to know that at least some of these people has stayed in business. There also seem to be some unclearness about who really directed this film, who really hides behind the pseudonym "Gilbert Roussel". Assistant director/ writer Claudio Fragasso today claims that he directed Blade Violent, while the pseudonym factually belongs to the French producer Jan Lefait, who has used it for porn movies. It's a strange and wonderful world. In any way, it doesn't matter. Blade Violent is a brilliant trash-movie by anyone's standards.
