Octopus 2: River of Fear

Slick (for a Bulgarian co-production) but formulaic and ludicrous monster movie and sequel in name only. Giant octopus the size of a truck is loose in East River, New York City on the 4th of july. Two Russian tourists are found dead. A dedicated cop takes action, the mayor thinks he's crazy. See the killer octopus climb up the Statue of Liberty and rip its head clean off. Lots of miniature sets, CG effects, rubber tentacles and wooden acting. Not good but has its moments.
