The Ghosts of Sodom
Italy 1988. Director: Lucio Fulci
Cast: Jessica Moore, Claus Aliot, Robert Egon, Al Cliver
Aka: Il Fantasma di Sodoma

I won't say that I liked it, but I won't say it's a waste of time either. It's simply so dumb that it's very difficult not being at least a little entertained by its stupidity. It's a long way from the past glories of Zombi 2 and The Beyond, but sometimes you have to take things for what they are, I guess. A bunch of teens has an engine breakdown at an old castle and soon they are attacked by sexcrazed Nazi soldiers from the past. These Nazis were apparently bombed to death in this castle while filming their own sex orgies. Frenzied Fulci-followers know how the story continues, others can imagine. The kids are trying to escape but all roads only lead them back to the castle. Some of the more interesting scenes (i.e the ones with the most sex and violence in them) re-appeared in Fulci's Nightmare Concert. And a cast consisting of Jessica Moore (Eleven Days Eleven Nights, Top Model bla bla) and Fulcio-regular Al Clever (sorry, Cliver) makes this a must-have for the fans, nontheless. Others better stick to the master's classics.
