Evil
Toons
USA 1990. Director: Fred Olen Ray Cast:
Monique Gabrielle, Dick Miller, Madison Stone, David Carradine
Fred Olen's fun version of Who Framed Roger Rabbit with a zip budget to match his jokes. And produced through his American Independent Pictures everything is cheaper than it looks. It begins alarming enough, with David Carradine, walking in slow-motion as usual, delivering a magic spell-book to a quartet of barely dressed girls living in a big house. The girls read the book loud and out comes a badly drawn cartoon monster designed by Chas Balun who rapes one girl, making her an evil flesheating zombie. Cult actor Dick Miller plays a funny caretaker who sits watching a Corman movie featuring himself on TV. The lead girl turned zombie is played by former porn-star Madison Stone and, call the cops, she can act. Funniest scene: Madison trying to open a wine bottle with her knees for what feels like an eternity. Evil Toons is not only one of Olen Ray's cheapest titles, it is also one of his more entertaining ones. That doesn't say a crap, though.
