As sequels go, it could have been much worse. But this one from the director of Judge Dredd and TV's CSI is actually fair enough, if one forgives the unlikely plot. The surviving kids (Love Hewitt and Prinze Jr) from last time are back, this time on a remote Bahamas island, ready to be chased by the boogeyman with the hook. But not before Love Hewitt has sung a lovesong at the karaoke-bar. Otherwise nothing new or original, nobody expected that and nobody cares. However, there are one or two (or perhaps three) really good scares around as well as unexpectadly good scream-queening by pop-star Brandy. All that and Jeffrey Combs (Herbert West in Re-Animator) as the weird hotel-owner. So come on. It won't kill you.
